Two very interesting Rhone towns sit facing each other with records dating back to the Middle Ages. Tain-L'Hermitage sits on the left bank of the Rhone at the bottom of the Hermitage Hills. Tournon sits on the right bank of the Rhone clustered around its massive castle. Both are renowned for their world famous wines.
