Then our ship sailed to loverly Les Andelys. Made up of two vilages, Grande-Andelys and Petit-Andelys, the town is dominated by the ruins of a great stone castle on the heights above the river. Here we delved into the past and discovered Richard the Lionheart's medieval stronghold.
